Been looking at books on Amazon, just snooping around for interesting stuff. Then I noticed this. It’s one of those things where I wonder if there’s a series I didn’t know about.

Especially the parts about “71 million astro-miles” and “the scorching surface of the fires swamp that is Mars.”

People used to be against Jews marrying gentiles. Then there was the issue of Protestants marrying Catholics. It wasn’t that long ago that a white woman was forbidden to marry a black man. Now lots of people are up in arms about gay marriage.

Folks, open your eyes. If gay marriage freaks you out, then just think of what the future holds:

I said “usually.” Then a commercial like this comes a long. All I can say is, I think I need to buy some shoes.

Yeah, the first one wasn’t fantastic, but it wasn’t bad. There was marked room for improvement. So really, I want to see if they did improve it. The first game was a disappointment not in what it was, but what it could’ve been. Maybe this is what could’ve been. Either way, it looks pretty damn spiffy.

Hey, Lieutenant Uhura? He’s an awesome guy, make no mistake. Funny too. Holy crap he’s funny.

But believe me, you’re not his type. Sorry. Try Kirk. That man will bone anything that’s female in appearance.

I’m not going to get into the whole Bigfoot or Sasquatch thing because, quite frankly, it’s stupid. But there’s a classic piece of film often used as “evidence” of the creature’s existence because the creature in the film doesn’t walk like a man. Or at least that’s the story. Obviously it’s a bit hard to tell when the camera shooting the film is bobbing up and down like a porn starlet blowing her co-star. However, there are ways to go through the thing frame by frame and steady it. When you do, you get this:

Ender’s Game is one of those science fiction classics that’s always in print. It’s a good bet that somewhere, right now, there’s a printing press rolling out another copy of Ender’s Game. When you get a book like that, you get a wealth of cover art running the gamut from awesome to absolutely shitty. I’ve seen several covers for this one and there have been some real gems.

But so far, I think this one is the best by far.

As a Transformers fan, I have to admit that the video games based on the beloved sci-fi series have been, well, lackluster. The recent movie tie-ins weren’t horrible by any stretch of the imagination but god knows they weren’t good either. Though if we’re going to talk about video game/movie tie-ins, then the games were spectacular as far as that genre rolls.

So I dunno. I’m kind of on the fence about this news about a new Transformers game based on Cybertron before the first contact. It’s a third person shooter, like the others, and while I’m sure the animation will be superb I just don’t know about the gameplay. I just have this feeling that…

Fascinating stuff really. Actually I think almost anything from the past that predicts what today is supposed to be like is beyond fascinating. It’s downright exhilerating.

Speaking of which, it’s damn near 2010. Where are all the aliens, flying cars, and jetpacks dammit?

Yeah, Star Wars Episode VI, better known as Return of the Jedi, is one of the greatest movies ever made, right?

Right.

And I’ve seen this movie at least, what? Two hundred times, right?

Right.

And I’m a total pervert, right?

Right.

So why didn’t I notice Han Solo copping a little royal feel on the Princess here? Seriously, I normally pick up on that kinda thing rather quickly. Weird, huh?
